 *AVOCADO SALAD RECIPE*



Hey foodies , Fork Gram this week is sharing with you one of the simplest salad recipes in Foodie History and that's the Avocado Salad. This salad is not only easy and quick to prepare but it also has a very delicious and mouth watering taste. 


The 🥗 equally has very many health benefits and we recommend it for weight loss diets, it's also very nutritious to the skin due to the presence of the avocado in this salad and is a good remedy for those with dry skin.


The splendid taste of this salad is brought up by the fresh and juicy organic veggies that are Incorporated into it with a drizzle of olive oil which brings the aroma to life and finally topped with the good old mayonnaise, this salad can be served alone or paired with another dish thus making it a side dish


Prep : 15 mins


Serving : 3 plates as side dish | 1plate as main


*Ingredients*


• 2 bell peppers ( preferably 2 different colors)


• 1 large carrot


• 1 large tomato


• Lettuce or any leafy greens of preference ( a handful)


• 1 large Avocado


• 2 tablespoons of olive oil


• 4 tbsp mayonnaise


*Method of preparation*


• We shall kick off the process by slicing the carrots , tomatoes, lettuce into thin long stripes { for the bell peppers slice a half of each pepper to bring in the colour}


• Wash the veggies thoroughly well, Stir fry this with a drizzle of olive oil and pinch of salt, let this go on for 3 - 4 mins on max heat and set aside


• The previous step is optional incase you don't want to stir fry the veggies you can enjoy the veggies raw


• Chop avocado into thicker slices than the veggies earlier. Now toss the avocado into the veggies and mix together until well Incorporated


• Pop In  your mayonnaise and mix gently [ Mayonnaise is optional ]


• The salad is now ready


**Tips when preparing this Salad* 


• Ensure to slice your veggies in the same shape as you wish to slice the avocado


• The Avocado slices should be thicker than the veggies


• Minimise the olive oil as much as possible


• Don't use over ripe ingredients, rather use fresh vegetables for a better result


•Dont let one ingredient stop you from making this salad as long and you have avocado you can forego a few other ingredients incase you don't have them
